Score with a rubric, not a gut feeling.

Score each interview against a rubric (correctness, complexity, communication, code quality) with per-criterion notes. The score travels with the recording and can be exported to your ATS.

Use cases

When this feature earns its keep.

Three concrete patterns. Use them as templates for your own setup.

Score during the interview while the context is fresh

The scoring panel is open alongside the editor. An interviewer can update scores and add notes without leaving the workspace or opening a separate form.

Debrief with your panel against a consistent rubric

Because every interviewer scores the same four criteria against the same definitions, debrief conversations start from data instead of impressions. Discrepancies are easy to spot.

Export scores directly to Greenhouse or Lever

ATS integrations (Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby) are partially built and on the near-term roadmap. Until they ship, the score export is a structured JSON file you can paste into the ATS manually.

Setup

How the setup looks.

Scoring is available on any workspace that has a problem attached. If no problem is attached, scoring opens with a blank rubric you can fill in ad hoc.

Same workspace, same auth, same collaboration features as every other Typelets workspace. See all features

  1. Attach a problem to the workspace before the interview

Problems in the library come with a predefined rubric. Attach the problem in workspace settings or at workspace creation time.

  2. Open the scoring panel during the interview

Click the scoring icon (star) in the workspace toolbar. The rubric appears with sliders or dropdowns for each criterion and a free-text notes field.

  3. Score and annotate per criterion

Correctness, complexity, communication, and code quality each have a 1-5 scale. Add notes to any criterion while the interview is still live; notes sync to the recording.

  4. Review or export after the interview

The final score and notes appear in the workspace summary after the session. Use the Export button to download a JSON file suitable for pasting into your ATS, or wait for the native integration.

FAQ

Can I customize the rubric criteria?
Yes. When creating or editing a problem in the library you can rename, add, or remove criteria. The four default criteria (correctness, complexity, communication, code quality) are a starting point, not a requirement.
Can multiple interviewers score the same session independently?
Yes. Each interviewer who has access to the workspace can open the scoring panel and submit their own scores. Independent scores are stored separately so you can compare them in the debrief.
Does the candidate see the scores?
No. The scoring panel is visible only to users with the interviewer role. Candidates and guests with read-only access cannot open the scoring panel.
Which ATS integrations are available today?
Native ATS integrations are on the roadmap but not yet shipped. Today the score is exportable as a JSON file. If you use Greenhouse, Lever, or Ashby and want to prioritize the integration, reach out to [email protected].
